As some of you might know I have been working on a game called Castle Cats for quite some time now. One and a half years to be exact. Last week we finally had the official release on iOS and Google Play so it’s now available to download!

To celebrate this I will be holding a contest here on DeviantART starting today. The reason for this is because I have noticed that a lot of my followers here have been playing the game so it would be fun to see what cool and creative designs you could come up with.

The theme is “Design your own Castle Cat”. It’s basically a design contest where you design a cat that you would like to see in the game. The best design will then be added to the game and there will also be other prices such as artwork by me and Gems (in game currency)

Evolution examples (Yes, Kattja is one of the heroes in Castle Cats :3 )

Rules

1. Castle Cats have 3 visual evolution stages. Your entry must include the fully evolved stage. The other two are not required but you may of course include them (see example above) All three stages must be in the same drawing/submission to count as one entry!

2. The design must be original and created for this contest. You may of course use your own OC’s but keep in mind that if you win and your design is added to the game we will have full rights to that character. So OC’s are NOT recommended!

3. Try to draw the character in the Castle Cats style and use the pose in the example above as reference.

5. Both traditional and digital media is allowed.

6. You must tag me and also include the name “Castle Cats” and a link to this journal somewhere in the description of your entry. (I won't disqualify if you miss this but it makes it easier for me to find your entries if you forget to submit them to the group)

7. Cat or feline characters only!

Failing to follow these rules will result in your entry being disqualified! (I will of course let you know if there is something you have missed so you can correct it)

Suggestions

1. The theme of the design should preferably fit in a medieval/fantasy world. But feel free to go wild with the design if you have another awesome idea! (if you have played the game you probably know that there are quite a few crazy designs that doesn't exactly fit the theme )

2. A short description of the character is encouraged but is not required (1-2 lines only) It must fit in the Kittydex (example below) (we may change this is your design is added to the game if it doesn't fit in the game)

3. Quotes for the character is also encouraged. Only one line per quote! All characters in the game have their own quotes that they say when they walk around in the guild. (we may change this is your design is added to the game if it doesn't fit in the game)

4. We will not be choosing winners based in artistic skills, but rather on the originality and creativity on the design.
